Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 2 handfuls shredded lettuce (any variety is fine; Romaine is recommended)
- 1 handful shredded spinach (may also use arugula or watercress)
- 1 stalk celery, chopped coarsely
- small handful flat-leaf parsley (may also use cilantro or even fresh mint)
- 1 apple, cored and peeled
- 1 citrus fruit – any – orange, tangerine, lemon, lime – segmented; peel, seeds, pith removed
- 1 banana, peeled
- 1/2 cup yogurt (plain or fruit is fine)
- Milk, juice, as desired (I use coconut or almond milk)
- Berries, mango, pomegranate seeds, chia or flax seeds – any small amount of any or all of these is fine, and optional
Cooking Instructions
- Place all items in blender jar and puree completely
- Blend everything until smooth and creamy
