East L.A. Latin Flavors tour
The East L.A. Latin Flavors tour centers around Boyle Heights where our tour guests can enjoy the local flavors that have been enjoyed south of the border for hundreds of years! During the tour, much of the time will be focused on Mariachi Plaza, the iconic centerpiece of the neighborhood. Guests will then be able to taste hand made traditional foods from fresh tortillas to chips paired with delicious salsa. You’ll be able to enjoy a number of other types of foods such as tamales and pupusas as well. By the end of the tour, all the food samples will have you stuffed and feeling satisfied. The East L.A. Latin Flavors tours takes place on Saturdays from 9am-12:30pm. Along the way you’ll make 8 different stops and learn about the history of the area as well!
Shopping in East L.A.
After your day enjoying delicious Latin Flavors, spend the rest of your day shopping in East L.A. and taking advantage of excellent deals. The Citadel Outlets is the only retail outlet center in Los Angeles and is a shopping experience that shouldn’t be missed. At the Citadel Outlets, you can be sure that you’ll find whatever you are looking for. Stop by sportswear locations such as Reebok, Adidas, Under ARmour and Nike. For the kids you can stop by The Children’s Place, OshKosh, Old Navy, Gap outlets, Converse and Guess. You’ll find these shops and many more at the Citadel Outlets.
Indoor shopping
The Shops at Montebello is another excellent option if you are looking to spend some time shopping. This indoor shopping area has retail outlets such as the Disney Store, Hollister, Aeropostale, Victoria’s Secret, JCPenney, Macy’s, Aldo, Forever 21 and more. The location also offers an extensive food court and a BJ’s Restaurant & Brewery as well.
